Date change: The next Lit Lit will be Friday, September 11, 2026 from 7 PM-9 PM at our fabulous new home, the Denning’s Point Distillery at 10 N. Chestnut St. right off Main Street in Beacon! If you’d like to read, sign-ups start at 6:30 PM. Denning’s is offering a free cocktail (or nonalcoholic cocktail!) to everyone who reads that night.
Lit Lit is a monthly literary open mic series in Beacon, NY. We meet the first Friday of every month. We are all about welcoming writers from every walk of life and every genre. There is a strict five-minute time limit. We love you and we want to hear what you’ve been working on. Folks are also absolutely welcome to just come and listen, and many do!
Lovely nonalcoholic beverages are available at Denning’s Point, as well as lovely cocktails, beer, wine, and occasional snacks. $5 suggested admission.
Here are the upcoming Lit Lit dates in the next few months: October 2, November 6, December 11 (we are meeting on the second week in December to avoid conflicting with the first night of Hanukkah), and likely January 8.
